LibreSpan

LibreSpan is a modern Android XMPP messenger derived from Conversations through AnotherIM. It keeps the open, provider-independent XMPP model: sign in with your existing JID and use the services supported by your XMPP server. Highlights: • OMEMO end-to-end encrypted messaging • Audio and video calls over Jingle/WebRTC • Images, files, voice messages, audio and video • Group chats and channels (MUC) • Message Archive Management (MAM) • HTTP Upload and UnifiedPush support • Secure Content Store for protected local message and media data • App Lock and optional High Security protection for supported devices • Local search and a simplified modern Android interface LibreSpan does not require a project-specific XMPP provider. Server capabilities are discovered through XMPP. The project is free and open-source software. LibreSpan is based on the Conversations family and preserves upstream attribution and licensing.
